Alessandro Liberatore - Ismaele
Increasingly on demand at the international level, he is the interpreter of such titles as: La Bohème (Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Palm Beach Lyric Opera and in Hong Kong), Rigoletto (Teatro Massimo in Palermo), Madama Butterfly (Florida Grand Opera in Miami), La Clemenza di Tito (Bergen), La Traviata (Trieste and Malta), Nabucco (Venice, Genoa, Cagliari and Sassari), Thaïs and Idomeneo at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Macbeth (Macduff) in Sassari; I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Opera in Rome; and Der Rosenkavalier (Italian Singer) in Barcelona and Madrid. Alessandro Liberatore recently performed Lucia di Lammermoor in Rovigo; Rigoletto at the Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos in Lisbon; La Traviata in Rouen; Nabucco and a series of concerts at the Tiroler Festspiele in Erl, Gustav Kuhn conducting. Mr. Liberatore has just made his exciting debut in Verdi’s Requiem in Cagliari, at the Festival Anima Mundi in Pisa under Aldo Ceccato and in Toblach under Andrea Battistoni and gained great success as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in Tampere; Lucio Silla (title role) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona under Harry Bickett; Rota’s Mysterium at the Vatican City and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Lucia di Lammermoor in Catania; Manon Lescaut under Riccardo Muti and La Bohème at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome; Missa Solemnis in Cagliari; Otello in Naples; Massenet's Manon in Liège.
His future projects include: Rota’s Mysterium at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; and Mozart’s Requiem in Erl, Madama Butterfly in Bologna.
Rani Calderon - conductor
The young Israeli conductor has gained international acclaim both in operatic and symphonic repertoire performing in the dual capacity of conductor and pianist. Rani Calderon collaborates, among others, with the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg, the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, and the Monte Carlo Opera. M° Calderon conducted Meyerbeer's Semiramide at the Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca, Italy edited in DVD by Dynamic. From season 2009 to 2012 one M° Calderon was Principal Conductor at Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile where he conducted among the others: Don Giovanni, Un Ballo in Maschera, Tannhäuser, Elektra, L'Italiana in Algeri, Aida and Lucrezia Borgia. Among his successful engagements it is worth mentioning: Andrea Chénier at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo; Gounod's Faust in Bilbao and Dresden; Euryanthe and Oberon at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse; Aida and Eugene Onegin at the Théâtre Municipal d'Avignon; Simon Boccanegra in Strasbourg; Der Fliegende Hollaender in Warsaw; Puccini’s Il Trittico at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna; Rossini’s Semiramide in Copenhagen; Turandot in Nancy; Symphony No. 2 (Mahler) in Santiago de Chile; Don Giovanni in Toulon.
Future plans include: Carmen and revivals of La Bohème in Dresden; a symphonic concert in Saint-Etienne. This year M° Calderon will return to Nancy conducting important productions: Rachmaninoff‘s Aleko, Francesca da Rimini and a series of concerts.
